The healing process, also known as osseointegration, normally takes three to six months. During this time, the dental implant will fuse to the bone and become part of the jaw. This is known as osseointegration. However, the sutures are typically removed after seven to fourteen days. |

Once the gum tissue is ready, a special post is attached to the implant to support the new porcelain crown. A zirconium abutments attached to the implant post, to assure that the new porcelain tooth possesses translucency properties similar to a natural tooth. Impressions are taken and a crown is made to match your existing teeth's shape and color. The crown is then cemented to the post. The final product of implant, crown and post appears and feels like a natural tooth.
